We are the Ramblers: a vibrant community and the only charity dedicated to removing barriers so everyone can enjoy the pleasures of walking.

With so many of us sharing our love of walking with friends and family, we know how important it is to celebrate a life spent enjoying walking.

We've created this Memory Map to share messages and pictures of loved ones that we want to remember.

Robert Withers (Bob) passed away on 12 Dec 2024. Mum survives him, as do my 2 brothers, myself and 5 grandchildren. My parents were both regular walkers with Berkshire Ramblers Association. Dad was involved in clearing and maintaining footpaths to ensure public access. He became Chairman of West Berkshire Ramblers, holding this post for 4 years. Afterwards, he became Chairman of Berkshire Ramblers for a further 4 years. Walking was a huge part of my parents' lives.
