We are the Ramblers: a vibrant community and the only charity dedicated to removing barriers so
everyone can enjoy the pleasures of walking.
With so many of us sharing our love of walking with friends and family, we know how important it is to celebrate a life spent enjoying walking.
We've created this Memory Map to share messages and pictures of loved ones that we want to remember.

Miss you hugely but grateful for the many years friendship we shared, and all the adventures. You’re with me on all my walks as I explore the UK discovering new places, as we used to together and with Sammie. Love you xxx
Missing you everyday and life will never be the same without you.
You were an incredible human and amazed me what you achieved despite some health issues- a great father and brother too! Taken too soon - love you always -

Remembering your kindness and warmth. Love and miss you always Dad, you’re never far from my thoughts and you’ll always stay in my heart xx
Dad, we couldn’t walk together for a long time before you left us, because you’d lost your mobility. but I’d give anything to have you walking beside me now, making me laugh the way you always used to. Love and miss you so much Dad, you’ll stay forever in my heart xx
Not a day goes by that we don’t think of you
Forever in our hearts until we meet again x
Thank you for the joy you brought to our favourite walk in Cornwall. It isn't the same without you. I will never forget.
To my wonderful Gran, you inspired my love of walking and the Shropshire Hills, you taught all your grandchildren to be brave, to go exploring and to try new things. Gran was one of a kind and although she’s not with us anymore her love for life and spirit of adventure lives on in all of her children and grandchildren. I miss you xxxx
Your devotion to The Ramblers & love of walking lives on in me - I’ve even been on my first Ramblers/HF Holidays w/e. & in your favourite season - autumn! Thank you Dad for getting through to me in the end - you’re my inspiration. Your grandson Ben still loves walking too. Long may we continue the legacy. Keep on rocking and rambling wherever your soul is. I love you. Xxx
Happy 60th Birthday to our beautiful Alison. We grew up outdoors and that’s where my love of walking began. Miss you and thinking of you today and always 😘 💗 xxx love The Daniels Family xxx
John, my Dad, loved walking around Snelston near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. I walked with him and my Mum in that location on a number of occasions and I was always inspired by Dad’s love of nature, the countryside and walking. Even when he became too disabled to walk, he would still venture out on his mobility scooter, albeit only on his own doorstep, at every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Miss him very much and think of him every time I walk near Snelston.
Thank you for your patience, love and guidance throughout our lives and for being both Mum and Dad. Always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. Night and God bless. Xx
Remembering my parents who whilst alive gave me love & comfort throughout my life. Now that they are no longer here with me they are never forgotten, always in my heart, always with me every day … 💖
Geoff you loved sitting by river fishing enjoying the peace and quiet.
But you loved going for walks with family and friends. Many of these walks ended up at a country pub !
We enjoyed walking together getting lost together 🤔So many times . We laughed together ,blamed each other for wrong directions . What I would give to go back to those times
We never enjoyed as many walks as we would have liked but I will love & miss you for ever.
Cornmill Meadows. A lovely way to earn our pint together Grandad.
I miss you.
To celebrate your love of the quiet moments on a river bank, fishing, and occasionally seeing the flutter of a king-fishers wings - and for the rights of way that make this possible.
The Old Man always reminds me of you, old man! It will always be my favourite <3
We miss you every day.
Because you loved your daily walks around Leicester's parks before visiting your MacDonald's friends :-)
